Like Kenya, Nigeria also bans Fifty Shades of Grey movie

Last week, Kenya banned the premiere of the movie of the moment – the film adaptation of best-selling erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

Although, Kenya is popular for banning movies with graphic depictions of sex and drugs, the Kenyan Film and Classification Board (KFCB) failed to reveal their reasons for banning the highly anticipated movie.

Surprisingly, the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), has banned it too – but unlike Kenya, the board let it show for about a week.

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is a screen adaptation of E.L. James’s erotic book of same name.

It revolves around a literature student, Anastasia Steele, who meets a handsome but tormented billionaire named Christian Grey whose sexual desires are channelled to dominance (BDSM).
