13 Sep

FOR THE 2014/2015 ELECTIONS

The Electoral Committee for the upcoming ULSU Elections met on Thursday 10/9/2015, and subject only to and awaiting the assent of the Dean of Students’ Affairs, made the resolutions that

— ULSU elections slated for Thursday, 17/9/2015 should now hold instead on Tuesday, 22/9/2015.
— and consequentially that Faculties’ elections should be shifted by a week.
— SLC elections of non-executive members in all faculties should hold concurrently with the faculties’ Executives elections.

I proposed and it was adopted by the committee that we, in Faculty of Law would like our elections to hold therefore on Wednesday, 30/9/2015 and that upon the assent of the DSA given, the dates for the faculties’ elections should be released on the university websites and on Unilag News Flash in order to end all doubts.

We, the faculty of law electoral committee(FLEC) have made demand for the Nomination forms and we will open collection of the forms immediately we obtain them; we are looking at Monday the 14th to get this done.

Finally, FLEC in our last meeting made the resolution that the Election activities will be for three days
Day 1: Presidential Debate
Day 2: Manisfesto
Day 3: Elections

On Monday, the 14th, the names and mobile contacts of FLEC members will be put up on the faculty notice board for all stake holders.
